Make plans to shop the Peaches to the Beaches – miles and miles of yard sales

Georgia's Peaches to the Beaches longest yard sale

Georgia’s longest yard sale, the “Peaches to the Beaches Yard Sale,” will take place the second Friday and Saturday, March 10-11 along US Highway 341, the Golden Isles Parkway. The 220+-mile yard sale will link peach-growing counties in middle Georgia to the beaches of the Golden Isles – ‘Peaches to the Beaches’ – with stops in several communities along the way.

The Peaches to the Beaches Yard Sale will feature vendors selling everything from antiques and locally crafted items to traditional yard sale fare. Yard Sale sites will be located in Culloden, Roberta, Fort Valley, Perry, Hawkinsville, Cochran, Eastman, Helena, McRae, Lumber City, Hazlehurst, Graham, Baxley, Surrency, Odum, Screven, Jesup, Brunswick, and the Golden Isles.

The Peaches to the Beaches Yard Sale was established in 2005, by a former Golden Isles Parkway Association, Inc.’s (GIPA) President, Evelyn Simmons.

The original route was from Perry to Brunswick and the Golden Isles.  The route is currently over 200 miles long and includes the following counties:  Lamar, Peach, Crawford, Houston, Pulaski, Dodge, Telfair, Jeff Davis, Appling, Wayne, and Glynn.

The yard sale features official vendors selling everything from antiques, locally crafted items, food and the traditional yard sale fare.  Official yard sites range from multi-organizational group sites to the official individual sites.  A special “Official Site” banner or “Official Vendor” yard signs identifies these sites.

Shoppers are encouraged to only shop at the “Official” vendor/sites as these vendors support this worthwhile event and make it possible for GIPA to continue promoting and organizing this event each year.

For this event, vendors can rent official space, signs and banners to designate that they are an official part of the event.

The Peaches to the Beaches Yard Sale will be open daily from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. For more information about becoming a vendor in one of the participating parkway communities please contact Golden Isles Parkway President Karen Tharpe at 912-367- 7731 or download your application from their website.
