2017 GEORGIA NATIONAL FAIRIt’s almost that time again already!! Where oh where does the time go? We are gearing up here in Perry and Elko — getting ready for the sure to be fantastic 2017 Georgia National Fair! This is the annual, official state-sponsored 2017 Georgia National Fair. Ten days of packed fun from October 5-15, 2017.

2017 GEORGIA NATIONAL FAIRThe Fair offers a safe and clean, family-oriented environment. The Fair is well-known for its comprehensive youth and home and fine arts competitions and exhibits. The Georgia National Schoolhouse attracts pre-K through high school students from throughout the state to tour the educational and livestock displays. In addition to the horse shows and livestock competitions, the fair brings ten days of big name concerts, fun and unusual entertainment, a real circus, great food and exciting rides!

Visit the Georgia Grown Building
2017 GEORGIA NATIONAL FAIR GEORGIA GROWNThis is a joint project of the 2017 Georgia National Fair and the Georgia Department of Agriculture. During the 11 days of the Fair, the building features space dedicated solely to Georgia Grown products, manufacturers, and agricultural businesses. Rental and sponsorship fees will aid in benefiting Agricultural Youth Scholarships.

Georgia Living Competitions
2017 GEORGIA NATIONAL FAIRComprised of the Home Arts and Fine Arts, Youth Educational Exhibits, and Fair Bear Creative Writing Competitions. Exhibitors from around the state of Georgia enter exquisite examples of their talented works throughout these programs. From fine artwork and woodwork, to quilts and needle arts, to culinary masterpieces and horticultural victories, to the shining efforts of Georgia’s youth, you can find it all in the Georgia Living Programs at the 2017 Georgia National Fair!

Ladies and gentlemen, children of all ages, get ready for the thrill of your life with the Royal Hanneford Circus!
2017 GEORGIA NATIONAL FAIR CIRCUSAn American-based touring family circus, with origins dating back to 1690, Royal Hanneford Circus has been called the oldest circus in the world–the family first performed as a traveling troupe in 1807! Circus-goers are treated to European style acts with a modern flare. Although the Royal Hanneford Circus has appeared at the Georgia National Fair for a number of years, each year is different with new and exciting acts! The circus is free to any Fairgoer. When the ringmaster calls the show, the big top is always full. Acts have ranged from high-wire to clowns and from wild animal performances to acrobats.

And … EVERY Day is SENIOR Day at the Fair!
Midday at the Fair is a special time for senior citizens (60 and older) at the Georgia National Fair. Avoid the crowds and join us weekdays.

One favorite attraction for seniors is the Georgia Grown Building! The building features 20,000 sq. ft. of space dedicated solely to Georgia Grown products, manufacturers, and businesses; specifically geared towards Agriculture.

Indulge in some traditional Fair food, shop the McGill MarketPlace, discover fine arts in the Miller-Murphy-Howard Building, walk through the youth exhibits in Heritage Hall, and attend livestock and horse shows. Then, relax and enjoy some free entertainment.
